From Domination Mindset to Befriending w/Kindred Media
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Lisa Reagan, Editor and Podcast creator over at Kindred Media. Lisa was a pivotal person in introducing me to Joseph Chilton Pearce, whom I had the pleasure of interviewing for the documentary Love Bomb.
In this interview she started getting caught up with me about my own personal story and finding Polyvagal Theory, Continuum, and Somatic Healing.
We talk about this journey in context with an overarching theme of learning to live a "new story" of human development. In Kindred terms, they are looking at this as moving away from Domination, and into an Indigenous worldview.
I speak about how Applied Polyvagal theory may thread into this idea, and my own journey of moving away from "domination" mind and motivation, to one of befriending.
I also do my best to bring it into everyday usability as I talk about my "stop drop" technique in parenting. It's a bit tongue in cheek, and happens to be quite useful. Here I am doing it (aka earthing) on a recent family getaway to Hendy Woods.
